Default after my NCLEX, wat's next!?Pls Help!

I am a Filipino. I passed my NCLEX(state of california) last dec 2007. I am planning to take my ielts on April 2008. right now, i am applying in the hospital to have an experience since i haven't work in the hospital after I passed my local board last 2006. I don't know what to do next. I'm afraid that I can't go to California within 3 yrs to claim my license.
Please help!!!

Hi there Lara.. first.,let me CONGRATULATE u for passing ur NCLEX exam...and i wish u gudluck on ur upcoming IELTS exam mo...i'm Mc a nurse too...about ur query, California is one of the state whos very fastidious when it comes to hiring Nurses even if u already passed ur NCLEX exam....they prefer Nurses with working experience from the other states....license in california will be given when u already have ur Social Security Number..but the problem is that u can only have ur SSN when u are employed n the US.....But anyway, i knew sumbody who is a NCLEX & IELtS Passer too who applied for reciprocity in other state..he applied at Vermont board of nursing...he paid $150 & fill up forms given by Vermont Board of Nursing and then now he's been given a license at Vermont. He can now work there as RN....but i hope this one can help u....feel free to reply....this is my own opinion so feel free to comment me back when u think i said something wrong..wish us both gudluck..GOD bleSS...Go Fil Nurses

Hello and welcome to the family of nursereview,

I think your still in the right track and three years is long enough for you to prepare for what you really want.

For now find joy in the stepping stones of your dreams.

Congratulations in passing the NCLEX.
